To my dear friends & customers, a note from May 2011: Summer is about to begin and it is time to give all of you an update. Fort Frederick was a great success as always, thanks to you all. And, while still back East, some friends and I dropped into Washington D.C. to see the play "Liberty Smith" at Ford's Theater. What a thrilling and proud moment it was to see Cobb Creek clothing on that stage. We will soon be posting some pictures from it, too. Next in the news, Daniel Boone of Kentucky will no longer be carrying Cobb Creek coats. We did this on a trial basis and the demographics were just too difficult to continue the venture. Guess you will have to see me at an event to get one of my coats or do it from our website---or better yet--- you may just be lucky enough to find one on a trade blanket. Also, for anyone needing colbalt or ruby shrubs from Williamsburg--Cobb Creek has some and cheaper than you'll pay there. And last, in addition to Mount Vernon's account, we have also begun making clothes for the interpreters working Boston's famous "Freedom Trail", a walking tour of that town's incredible historic sites from Boston Common to Bunker Hill in Charlestown. I just love doing clothing for these historical sites, too. Well, that's it for now. Thanks for staying in touch. Have a great summer and shining times at your events. – Kathy
